At work, we picked up a whole bunch of these; they work very nicely with Linux. The "Database Folk" have generally gone with Ubuntu , a Debian derivative, which has installed and run extremely cleanly.
Virtual Private Network access worked out of the box based on the vpnc package
The built-in wireless hardware works well with WEP authentication; alas, using WPA, which allows certificate-based authentication, seems to be generally troublesome on Linux at this time.
Support for the built-in fingerprint scanners has required some "fiddling around", but there is documentation for this on the web...
