The material that was here is no longer terribly useful; efforts on such projects as GnomePIM, KOrganizer, Gnome Pilot, PIA KPilot mean that there is active work going on to provide interoperable scheduling systems.
I would be happier if some of them were implementing functionality via CORBA servers, but that will, no doubt, come, in time.
